Research suggests that motivations, flow experiences, and a sense of belonging play crucial roles in the addictive use of SNS. This article reviews existing literature on SNS addiction, highlighting the various motivations driving excessive usage, the concept of flow as an immersive state facilitating addictive behaviors, and the role of a sense of belonging in perpetuating addiction. Understanding these factors is essential in developing effective prevention and intervention strategies to address SNS addiction and promote healthy online behaviors.
