The structure of a protein is intimately linked to its function, where specific arrangements of atoms define active sites, binding interactions, and catalytic capabilities. This article explores the significance of protein structure/function analysis in unraveling the intricate connections between a protein's three-dimensional architecture and its biological roles. Various methods for determining protein structures, such as X-ray crystallography, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), cryo-electron microscopy (Cryo-EM), and computational modeling, are highlighted.
