However, there is growing interest in exploring complementary approaches that target psychological and emotional aspects of pain perception. This study investigates the impacts of brief directed symbolism on patients experiencing persistent back agony. The research employed a randomized controlled trial design with a sample of [number] participants diagnosed with persistent back pain. Participants were randomly assigned to either an intervention group, where they received a brief directed symbolism session, or a control group receiving standard care. The symbolism session involved guided visualization and symbolic representation aimed at addressing emotional and psychological aspects related to back pain.
