The assessment of supportive care and unmet needs is essential in the development of appropriate interventions that may enhance the quality of life of cancer patients. Unmet needs including early diagnosis and treatment process, psychosocial problems alternative approach, fertility, supporting of caregivers and palliative care are common problems in women with gynecologic cancer (GC). It’s direct effects on quality of life and evaluations may help improve discussion of quality-of-life issues between patient and health professionals. Studies highlight, as social support and supportive care by the family or health professionals increased, the effective coping ways were detected to be used more frequently. This review describes the unmet supportive care needs of women with GC.
